Chilipod format poll and ratings February 21st, 2007
This is just a quick update on two new features on the site. Firstly, I mentioned in the show notes of chilipod episode 2 that we are debating whether to standardise the format of our chilipod episodes and only use one format or whether to continue publishing two versions (.mp3 and .m4a/AAC/iTunes format) of the podcast. I have set up a poll on the blog and would really appreciate it if you would take the time to vote.
Secondly, I have added a rating system to the blog posts. It is a 5 star rating system and it would be great if you would let us know what you think about the posts when you read them. To rate a post all you need to do is mouse over the stars and click on the star you think represents how you feel about the post.
If you comment regularly on chilibean then consider registering as a user on chilibean. One of the benefits is that, as a registered user, your comments are published immediately (as opposed to going into a moderation queue for review with all the spam we receive). We have also enabled certain features that anonymous users don’t have the benefit of. For the time being these additional features are bells and whistles like having your comments publish immediately, being able to cancel your vote on a poll and to inspect votes cast already as well as the ability to use the advanced search features on the site. The reason why we do this is because when you register, we get to know you a bit better so we’re happy to let you do more on the site.
